We’re back in London after our lovely long vacation in South Africa and I am slightly regretting my choice to come back this early, two kiddies in this freezing weather is not easy! But there are positives; it’s good to be back home, woke up to pretty snow, the sun still shines here, looking forward to catching up with friends and so happy to be back with my hubby and being a family of four together for the first time in our home AND getting a routine going…. well that’s what I am hoping to achieve 😉 As I am sure with everyone holiday always brings bad habits with unhealthy eating, late nights and not much discipline but I was thinking it will all fall back into place when we get home.  Just as I thought I was going to be so good with children’s meals, sleeping arrangements and TV, my first day I gave my toddler toast for breakfast and lunch and spaghetti hoops for supper…. my baby slept in my bed as I realised I had not ordered a new mattress for his cot before leaving for hols (all that mattered then was finding our summer clothes) BUT I am proud to say I managed to not switch the TV on for my toddler all day until 6pm, so some how I managed to keep him entertained all day without him asking to watch.

This year I hope to be back up and running as soon as possible with my personal styling, blogging and OOTD pics (as below) along with some other exciting projects on the horizon….

Follow me on Instagram and watch as my outfits and style develop over the next couple of months as I muddle through the beginnings of learning to juggle life with two kiddies rather than one. This is all I managed for today (see below) And stay tuned for weekly (hopefully) posts on fashion, interiors and lifestyle. I will be updating you all on the decorating project as well 😉

Let the fun of 2015 begin!

Currently coveting
and can’t wait to get back into

I cannot wait to get back into normal clothes again. I am so tired of wearing comfy pants and baggy tops and flat shoes and not buying anything because it’s a total waste! All I can do now is dream about what I want to wear when I hopefully get back to my old size (it could be a while still)

A beautiful skirt into the waist! I love this pleated leather skirt worn with a sexy pair of heels is a seriously covetable look this winter.

I really want a camel coat this winter but no point in getting it just yet!

Getting back into my skinny’s, and I think a new pair of J Brands is definitely on the cards 😉

Boyfriend jeans always look better with a top tucked in slightly or something a little shorter, not very flattering with a preggie belly! Love the relaxed look.

For me a simple silk shirt and jeans was always a go to outfit that always looks smart without much effort, wearing these blouses again without looking like Im smuggling pillows would be great

But in the mean time I will have to stick to my black leggings, oversized shapeless tops, and slip on sneakers (which I do love I should add) I posted them a few weeks ag0 and after much interest on where I got them, they are Carvela (see below)

Fall Must Have’s

I cant believe we thinking of cooler days and new wardrobe essentials already. The summer went way too fast but thankfully there’s still lots of sunshine about however it wont harm to be prepared for when that first wintry chill decides to surprise us and we can tackle it head on without panic or shivers. This fall its all about mixing and matching your basics with your bling. Think Sport Luxe again. Pair a sequinned skirt with a casual sweater or Jogger trousers with heels and a blazer. But more of that and how to style the outfits to come so watch this space. For now lets concentrate on what to add to the wardrobe.

Boots – a knee length pair of riding type boots are a must for wearing over your favourite skinnies or skirts of various lengths. This season brown is bigger than black.  A pair of chelsea boots will never go a miss, wear them for a more casual look. The tassel loafers are great for the office and weekend wear.

Coats & Jackets – we’re not quite a freezing temps so something lighter is all we looking for right now. A classic blazer is always a must as is a coatigan for the in-between days.

Trousers – Wear  your jogger bottoms with your favourite trainers and a blazer on the weekend or with heels to the office. The leather trousers are still around in full force and again dress up with heels or down with trainers.

A Firm Favourite

Ever heard me say every closet needs a denim shirt? Well every closet needs a denim shirt!!!! So many ways to wear it and you will look instantly cool

1)Wear buttoned up for a Texan vibe (not recommended in summer)

2) Wear it unbuttoned to mid chest with sleeves rolled up and very open for a cool summer feel with shorts and a pair of ultra chic shades.

3) Wear it completely unbuttoned over a cami or dress as a little jacket

4) Wear it with jeans for the trendy denim on denim look

5) Looks amazing with leather!

Just wear it however you feel comfortable!  Some of my favourites available to purchase below:

On a separate note. If you have been wondering why my blog posts have decreased of late, this is because I have taken on a slightly different type of styling project.  I am trying my hand at interior decorating and am working on 3 apartments at the moment. I’m thoroughly enjoying it and whilst it’s still creative and design, it’s a lot more technical than dressing! This is what’s taking up most of my time at the moment (other than my son ;-)
I will update you with the project as we get further along the line and may even post some pics of the finished project!

Hope you are all having a happy week!

Whimsicle Wear

We are all overheating here in London (I’m not complaining) but whilst we are wearing as little as possible,  its really important not to forget about your underwear, especially as it’s likely to be sticking out most of the time.  The heat however, is not the only reason to be showing off what’s underneath but also the fact that sheer fabrics are such a huge trend at the moment. If you have the legs even wear a sheer skirt with a plain pair of boy pants underneath.

There is definitely an art to wearing your underwear to show appropriately and stylishly without looking tacky, and if your bra straps are going to be on show then make sure its a pretty strap and not a shabby looking cream/grey colour from excessive washing.

During a trip to Amsterdam a few years ago I came across the loveliest underwear brand called Sam Friday.  I never quite found the equivalent here, not only the pretty and different styles and fabrics but the fit and feel of the underwear has been amazing and they are still going strong.

I came across the most gorgeous summery underwear right here at
.. yip Topshop! and needed to share it all with you.
